Undergraduate Advising Handbook
Advising
- All students, regardless of major or transfer situation, must earn
a minimum of 30 hours of graded coursework at St. John Fisher College
in order to be awarded a Bachelor’s degree.
- Among the hours earned at Fisher, one-half of the major requirements
must be completed at the College. In some majors, there are designated
courses which must be taken at Fisher and cannot be transferred.
- All students must complete at least 30 of the last 36 hours of their
degree program at Fisher. Students are well advised to plan any transfer
work before their final semesters at Fisher.
- At least 1/2 of the coursework required by your degree must be
completed at Fisher.
- If a student leaves St. John Fisher College before the attainment
of a degree and is away for 4 years or more, the student will be required
to follow the degree requirements in effect at the time of their return.
In some cases in professional programs, student academic records will
be reviewed to determine if particular coursework needs to be repeated
to ensure that students graduate with updated knowledge in their fields.
