As freshmen, one of our biggest concerns is being paired with a nightmarish roommate. Seniors Nick Suchyna, Dallas Miller and Doug Teadt lucked out of that situation.
The trio has roomed together since their sophomore year at Fisher. As a mere freshman, Suchyna lived in a triple across the hall from Miller and Teadt.
“It took us a little time to become friends, but a few weeks into the year you could pretty much say that I lived in their room,” Suchyna said.
Sharing similar personalities and common interests, the three lived in a triple their sophomore year on Dorsey 3.
Suchyna, Miller and Teadt are numbers 14, 76 and 88 on the Fisher football team.
“Because of our sport we have a bond that will never be broken,” Suchyna said.
In past summers, Suchyna and Miller have visited each other’s hometowns.
“Dallas came out to Buffalo for a party that we had for one of our good friends,” Suchyna said. “He got to taste a little bit of the Buffalo nightlife and stayed up until 5 a.m.”
How do the boys keep from butting heads? “Usually we just talk about what is going on and deal with it from there,” Suchyna said. “Obviously there are times where we do not want to be near each other and need our space. But most of the time we can work things out,” Suchyna said.
Suchyna’s only complaint about Miller is that he has the tendency to leave dishes in the sink for a day or two.
Pet peeves aside, their friendships are sure to last beyond their memories at Fisher.
