Each year has certain unforgettable moments that represent the changes in a person’s life. Since this time last year, Fisher students have celebrated several events and milestones that represent the growth and change of the campus.
The Student Government Association (SGA) at St. John Fisher College announced Wednesday the creation of a scholarship endowment fund that will award two $1,000 scholarships and a $500 book grant annually.
According to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), the free period from 12:20 to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays isn’t really free.
On April 10, SAAC met to discuss its plans to propose a shift from the current free period time to 4 to 6 p.m. on the same days.
Fisher prides itself on the diverse traditions that continue on campus each and every year. This past weekend marked one of the longest running celebrations, Little Siblings Weekend.
After the rest of campus leaves for summer, Fisher seniors still have one more week of fun as their college careers come to a close.
A last minute decision to move Fisherpalooza indoors due to chilly weather turned out to be the best thing that has happened with the concert in years.

When you think of diversity, you probably think of several other colleges besides Fisher.
However, a group of professors, college administrators and even students want to change all of that with the Campus Diversity Advisory Board. The Board met April 12 to present the College’s state of diversity and to also generate ideas to help increase the amount of diversity on campus.
Generation X made a comeback on stage this weekend at the annual spring play put on by Fisher Players.

The majority of the largest freshmen class ever at Fisher have been pleased with their first year on campus. Many didn’t miss the shorter walk to Basil because they never knew it existed, but they are looking forward to an end to temporary fences and piles of dirt.

With construction of the Wegman School of Nursing nearly completed, College President Donald Bain already has plans for a new building project to start just after exams.
St John Fisher College experienced some growing pains in the 2006-07 academic year. As Fisher continues to expand, junior Brad Huber believes that some decisions need to be made about the College’s future.
