The Student Athlete Advisory
Committee is sponsoing a contest
to name the St. John Fisher
College Cardinal. Students can
pick up entry forms from the
student worker in the Student
Life Center. All entries are due
by Dec. 4 and can be given to
any student worker in the
Student Life Center. The winning
name will be announced on
Dec. 9 at the women’s home basketball
game.
SWAV has new service opportunities
Join SWAV in helping the Bush
Mango Dance Studio. Bush Mango
is a dance group that teaches traditional
West African drum and
dance classes. The children's group
has an upcoming performance.
Help the children create props and
scenery and create and assign costumes.
SWAV will be helping at
Bush Mango every Saturday for
the rest of the semester from 9
a.m. until noon.
SWAV will be going to Foodlink
on Friday, Nov. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8
p.m. to organize food and other
goods to give to various charities.

SAB presents comedian
The Student Activities Board
(SAB) will be presenting Comedian
Rebecca Cory at 9:30 p.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 14 in the Campus
Center Mainstage.
The Office of Safety and Security
reports that there have been four
instances of harassment, one incident
of trespassing, one larceny
from a resident student, one repport
of disorderly conduct, five
rules violations, one report of marijuana
use, nine alcohol violations
and one report of DWI on campus
since Monday, Oct 30.
New lecture series to start on Nov. 16
Paul English will be the first
speaker in the Fr. Joseph Trovato
Lecture Series on Nov. 16. The
event will be held in Basil 135,
beginning with a reception at 5:30
p.m. in Basil Lobby. The event will
honor Trovato and will announce
the Reverend Joseph A. Trovato
Peace and Social Justice Studies
Fund. Students will also be recognized
with awards at the event.
