Urban Fellowship Program Office of Student Affairs & Diversity Initiatives

Urban Fellow Summer Program is an internship that has an application process that is due by March 1st of each calendar year to Leadership Rochester. What is Urban Fellowship? Urban Fellowship is a program that the Vice President for Student Affairs & Diversity Initiatives incorporated into the students' social/cultural experience. The program is designed to "emphasize civic engagement, promote learning about urban issues, and encourage a celebration and appreciation for cross-cultural issues and urban life." This program's focuses are:

Summer Fellowships - "a four day week paid fellowship."

Urban Issues Workshops - "engaging students for four days at their fellowship site."

Community/Cultural Based Activities - "the student is invited/encouraged to participate in cultural events/activities."

End of Summer Institute - the "student develops a paper based on their personal research/experiences and present their work at the end of the summer symposia."

How can you experience this program? "Area college students interested in Rochester Urban Fellow Program should complete the application by March 1st . Successful applicants will have demonstrated an interest in or volunteer experience in urban issues."
