Financial Aid Checklist Current Graduate Students
- Using you Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the U.S. Department of Education (if you have misplaced your pin, you can get a reminder at www.pin.ed.gov), complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov or via paper application. St. John Fisher College’s priority deadline is February 15th.
- Complete the Express TAP application (ETA) online following the FAFSA, or the paper application mailed to you, or at www.tapweb.org.
- Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) for accuracy. If necessary, follow directions on your SAR to correct inaccurate items.
- Promptly respond to any school requests for additional information or documents, such as copies of federal tax returns.
- If taking 6 or more credits in the summer session, complete financial aid request form available in summer course registration booklet, in financial aid office, or at http://home.sjfc.edu/FinancialAid/ and return to financial aid office.
- Notify your financial aid office of any outside scholarships, grants, or other resources you have received or will receive.
- Receive your financial aid award notice listing estimated aid eligibility. Review any accompanying information and contact the financial aid office with any questions.
- Accept financial aid offered on FishRNet.
- If first time accepting Stafford loans, complete entrance counseling for Stafford loan.
- If first time accepting Stafford loans, complete your promissory note for Stafford loan.
- If applying for Graduate PLUS loan, complete promissory note for Graduate PLUS loan.
- Be alert to any billing notices and payment information provided by the Bursar’s Office.
