BINGO EXTRAVAGANZA!
Each semester, Fisher Players sponsers a night of BINGO, open to all students. The admission is free, and the prizes are great! Fisher Players members are in charge of picking out prizes,calling numbers, and decorating for the event. It is often the same theme as the show we are currently working on (Guys and Dolls- Casino theme, Fame- 80's theme).
Relay for Life
Every Spring, Fisher participates in Relay For Life, raising money for the American Cancer Society. Fisher Players enters the Relay as a team. The event lasts twelve hours, and is a lot of fun. In 2008, Fisher Players and Cardinal Television entered as one team and raised $1075. In addition, Fisher Players' own Chris Fanning shaved his head and raised $110 at the relay itself. The Relay total raised $57,800!
Murder Mystery
Each Fall, Fisher Players throws a Murder Mystery dinner. The Players choose a Murder Mystery script, and characters that they want to be. We set up for the dinner, and buy the prizes. Anyone is welcome. The event is free for Fisher students, and $5 for non- Fisher students. Guests to the dinner are entertained by the characters in the Mystery while they eat. They try to figure out who the murderer is, and those who guess right win a prize!
80's Mixer
To promote the spring play Fame, Fisher Players put on an 80's mixer with lots of food and dancing! Any proceeds went to benefit Relay for Life, which took place the next day. The event went so well, 80's mixers might become part of Fisher Player's annual events!
