Most Memorable Experience of Orientation: The picnic that was held in the Quad.  I remember heading down to the picnic with my two roommates who I had just met and thinking to myself, I hope that everyone else is as nice as my two roommates.  All the Orientation Team Members were so welcoming at the picnic and loved talking to us, the new students.  Some friends and I sat right under a tree where we shared stories about our high schools and where we came from.  Now as I look back at that moment, I realize that all those friends sitting there with me under that tree are now some of my closest friends at Fisher. That night we took at picture and to this day, I still hang that picture up on my wall each semester to remember the good times we always have together.

Comments/advice for freshmen?:

  • Packing...don't pack a lot.  Although you will think you will need 8 pairs of jeans, you do not.  I remember sending clothes home that I did not wear because I had so many clothes that I had brought up.
  • Be outgoing! Yes that is very cliché, but seriously have the time of your life-it's college. Meet new people, get involved with a sport or a club, cheer on your fellow friends at their games, just make the best of these four years because they will go so fast you have no idea.
  • And last, try and stay up at school as much as you can the first semester. Immerse yourself into Fisher because it has so much to offer its students.  There is always something to do whether it is hearing a comedian that was brought on campus or going to a Fisher football game, there are endless amounts of things to do at Fisher.
