Psi Chi Chapter



Psi Chi is the national honor society in psychology.
Membership in Psi Chi is an earned honor for life.
A permanent record of your membership is preserved at the Psi Chi National Office
and may be used for reference purposes such as applications for graduate schools and jobs.
"The purpose of Psi Chi shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology"
 

Minimum Qualifications for Student Membership in Psi Chi at St. John Fisher College:
    • Second-semester sophomore, junior or senior standing
    • At least 15 credit hours completed at St. John Fisher College
    • At least 15 credit hours completed in psychology, 9 of which have been completed at Fisher
    • Registration for major or minor standing in psychology
    • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 and rank in upper 35% of their class
    • Minimum GPA of 3.5  in psychology  courses
    • High standards of personal behavior
    • Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at regular chapter meetings
 A one time membership fee of $35 is also required.
