ParkingFisher Residents and Commuters,The St. John Fisher College online parking registration system is ready to accept pre-registrations for the 2008-2009 school year. Your vehicle registration process will be more efficient by pre-registering your vehicle prior to the Fall ’08 semester. Please take a few minutes to enter your vehicle information at our website: Parking permits for the 2008-2009 academic year will still be $25 and will be valid for the entire school year. Payment can be made with either cash or personal check at the registration time in September – the online application is just a pre-registration process. You must produce your vehicle registration when you pickup your permit in the fall to show proof of ownership. 2008-09 permits will be available in the Security Office after August 25, 2008. Attention Resident Students: During the pre-registration process you will be able to select the parking lot of your preference. We cannot accommodate everyone who requests a parking lot close to their residence hall as there are only a limited number of spaces available. Resident parking permits will be issued by seniority (number of credit hours earned) and number of parking violations documented during the past year. Those who did not receive a parking spot in their preferred lot will be offered either Park & Ride or Murphy parking lot when they pick up their permits in the fall. Permit lot assignments will be made after 8/1/2008. To be considered for your preferred parking lot you must register online by August 1, 2008. Parking and operating a motor vehicle on the St. John Fisher College Campus is a privilege. All vehicles on the Fisher campus must be registered with the Security office and display a valid parking permit or pass on the vehicle. Vehicle registrants and operators must comply with all policies regarding registration, parking, and operation of vehicles. Because there is limited available parking, registered vehicles are not guaranteed a space. Parking is on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Due to space issues, first year students are not allowed to have a car on the campus. It is the responsibility of all Community Members and visitors to park in lined spaces in the appropriately designated lots. Vehicles found in violation of these policies may be ticketed or towed. Vehicle registrants are responsible for all fines and fees associated with policy enforcement. Vehicle Registration Students, faculty, and staff may apply for parking permits by visiting the Safety and Security Department, located on the main level of Haffey Hall. Permits for the beginning of each fall semester can be requested at the end of each Spring semester by filling out an online request or at the office. At the time of registration, a valid student ID and vehicle registration must be presented. Resident students may only register one vehicle. |
