What is Teddi?
St. John Fisher has a close connection to Camp Good Days and Special Times. Camp Good Days' founder, and Teddi's Father, Gary Mervis, is from the Rochester area and is currently a coach of the Fisher football team.

In 1982 St. John Fisher professor, Dr. Lou Buttino (author of For The Love Of Teddi), and eight of his students started the first Dance For Love. The first dance was held that February with a small group of 83 students. Today over 500 students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members dance or volunteer for this incredible event.

The Dance For Love is St. John Fisher College's annual 24-hour dance marathon. The money raised goes to the Teddi Project, a division of Camp Good Days & Special Times, to send a group of children to Florida each year to experience the magic of places like Walt Disney World, Orlando Studios and many more attractions in Orlando, Florida. Our dedication to the kids has helped us raise over half a million dollars for the Teddi Project. Since its inception since 1982, The Teddi Project has helped over 1500 children with life threatening illnesses in making their dreams come true. Although many well-known community members, such as the Mayor, come to the dance, our most important guests during the dance are the kids themselves. Every year you'll find a group of youngsters dancing among us. These kids believe in us, just as we believe in them.

The dance itself is unlike anything you'll ever experience. From theme hours to live bands, Teddi is sure to be enjoyable no matter what music you listen to. But Teddi isn't all dancing! T-shirts, movie passes, gift certificates, and other prizes are given away throughout the night. To keep us motivated and dancing, we read letters from families of campers we've helped to remind us what we're there for. The Teddi Dance is a place where friendships are made and memories are forever etched in our hearts. We promise you, Teddi is something you'll never forget.

"Won't forget, can't regret, what I did for Love"
