Writing Center at St. John Fisher College

Dr. Theresa Nicolay | Director
Dr. Nicolay is Coordinator of the Center for Academic Excellence, and since 1993 she has been Fisher's Writing Center Director. She received her PhD in English from the University of Rochester in 1993. Dr. Nicolay regularly teaches undergraduate courses in peer tutoring, classical rhetoric, first-year and intermediate writing. She is the author of Gender Roles, Literary Authority and Three American Women Writers (Peter Lang, 1995), and "Placement and Instruction in Context: Situating Writing in a First-Year Writing Program," which appeared in Writing Program Administration.
